Who we are.Our members have an interest in the environment and want to learn more about our wildlife and help conserve it for the enjoyment of people today and the generations to come. Individually we are not "experts", but together we are learning, and building up knowledge and expertise to provide information on Berwick's fauna and flora.
|
Beginnings. In 2004 a Phase One vegetation survey of Berwick was undertaken for the Market Towns Initiative by the Berwickshire Naturalists' Club. We are a small group of about 40 people. All members provide valuable support for the local environment through their subscription. Most enjoy our talks and walks, and many help with the range of surveys and behind-the-scenes organisation essential for the success of the group. Members do not have to have special skills or knowledge, just an interest in their environment. Come along to one of our advertised meetings and see if you might like to join us. |
