Surveys

Butterflies - Transect Walker to come out this month; if it doesn’t, data to be sent as it is.
Bees - University of Stirling School of Biological Sciences can send someone to do a bee identification day, and would like BWG to survey bumblebees. Bats – English Heritage to contact LC re. dates for surveys. Flora – 2007. Verges could be monitored; Cocklawburn a possible site for next survey. |
7 | Any Other Business | . | EB to put an article about squirrels in the press and ask for sightings. FA had received a report from CARA on Tappee Fen, and had responded with suitable comments. Little Beach and its significance to birdlife will be written by MH and posted on the website. At a public meeting held by AONB, attendees expressed overwhelming support in favour of extending AONB boundaries northward to the Scottish Border to include both the Tweed estuary and the urban areas. FA showed the committee a draft of the forthcoming Newsletter. |
